Ulluk Sitamaujurtut (Day 8)

I am sorry, but I missed a day.
I'll just fill you in with my memory of what I think happened on Wednesday.. haha

On Wednesday morning, I have an 8:30 class, and I remember waking up at 8:30.. O_O
I took 2 minutes to think whether it is worth it to go to class late or not. But it was french class, and I spent an hour doing my homework the night before.. so I just went. It was boring as usual and I always spend 1 hour and half with my "wtf" look.. LoL, oh well.. "An inuk girl that speaks English as a second language trying to learn another language.." but i've seen worse.. and I'm not going to get there..

Après classe de français...(LoL) I had a half hour break. I went home to eat something quickly and change to my gym clothes aka sweat pants and baggy Kangiqsualujjuaq team t-shirt :P. Yeah, my next class was gym. and Did you know that I love gym so much that I can't wait until gym right after we have our gym class?? haha I think that gym class was the most fun, intense and fun and intense class ever. I finished my women's doubles tournaments with my partner. And that class, we played with one of the most competitive opponents. It was fun. There was a lot of yelling and laughing during those intense games. We won 4 out of 7 games.. We could've done better.. but that was the outcome.. Oh well..

After gym class.. I had 2 hour break and in those 2 hours.. I had to eat, shower and go to the bank.. And luckily, I had enough time to do all those and was on time for my English class. And my memory is saying stop.. LoL, I don't know why..

Picture, picture, picture.. Photo, photo, photo.. Image, image, image.. Lucy was home.. Sick :(. I was really sad for her. I didn't feel like cooking and I wanted to get something for her so I ordered some food and we both shared it.. Watched some episodes and I fell asleep during the movies.. But before passing out, I remember that I took some pictures on my balcony. I was on my balcony with Vanessa, one of my good friends.
The picture is of the glass that we just left outside. The glass was used to capture the ladybug that invaded my place. There were two actually. The other one looked dead so Lucy flushed it. One quick fact of ladybugs is that they play dead when they think they are in danger, lol. So, I kept them in the glass for days and finally Lucy put the poor thing out. I think the glass is still there. It caught my eye so I took a picture of it. There is a lot of story behind it. :)

So yeah.. That's my Day 8.. Just to fill you in.. Not that great, but.. Oh well.... I had my reasons to miss a day.. but I made it up for you...AGAIN.

[Ra] ammalu [Ga]?? (Ra and/or Ga in Inuktitut Syllabics)

I just asked my friend here.. I was looking at my blog title and I got confused of the second word [Inuusiga]. I was wondering if it has to be [InuusiRa] instead. Ra and ga can sound similar but they can sound completely different, too! So I asked my friend, is it [InuusiGa] or [InuusiRa].. We just got confused. I kept prouncing both of them multiple times, but I got very confused. Now, I'm getting confused with every words that end with -ga or -ra.. So yeah.. To all my Inuit friends.. is it [InuusiGa] or [InuusiRa]???? I hope I don't make you confused like I confused myself AND my friend.. I feel pretty bad. I feel like I am losing one of the most important things in my life---Inuktitut.. So goodness mother nature mother tongue mother ------------------------ help me!!

My long weekend has ended. Well, not really, but kind of. Okay, it has ended. Gosh, I wish it didn't.. But the up side is that tomorrow is Wednesday!! and there is gym!! :D I didn't have any classes today! Which was nice for me. I left my place around lunch time and went to the library. I had to watch Slumdog Millionaire for my class. I've watched it before, but I had to re-watch it because I didn't remember things very well. I did that and then I went to the rez for my "counselling" appointment. And I stayed here all day.. I'm still here.. Which is the reason that I don't have a "new" picture.

Today, I took a picture from one of my albums in facebook. I kind of changed things on Splashup Gillian suggested. I didn't do much to the picture because I like it 'original'. Haha :P I just inverted the colors.. I'll show you the original and the enhanced one. :)
The image of the water was taken in Ste-Anne-De-Bellevue.

Ulluk Pingasuujurtut (Day 6)

It's a beautiful Monday. It's like the first time I say that this semester (I think). Monday's are rather long for me. I have three classes. But Thank Goodness for holidays!
It's Sunny out and windy. This weather is just right for a girl like me who loves winter. Sunny and chilly equals good. :)

I haven't taken the time to take pictures for the past two days. I have so many pictures though. So, for today, I am going to display one of the pictures I've been working on for a while. Yes, I have been working on(photoshopping) so many pictures at once. This one, I just finished recently and I love it. The person who is in the picture loves it, too! Okay, i'll tell you the name of the person.. It's Caroline!! I've known her since ever. She is a good fwend of mine and we used to have those crazy moments together when I was still in high school. And now she is with a bun in the oven.. I can't wait to meet the little one. The little one will bring lots of life in so many ways. and I know that the little will change the world in his/her way.

Ulluk Tallimat (Day 5)

What day is it today!?!?!? Sunday? Monday? April 4 ALREADY!! I'm still in March.. How unorganized I can be.
Long weekends... Love em, but they are bugging me, LoL. It's only Sunday and I have two more free days. I should be out tonight. However, I'll arrest myself again in here. Only to regret it later. MOREOVER, I have to do some homework, but somewhere in my mind, there is a little voice saying that I should do them later! Talk about procrastination!!

It's Sunday, I think. It's one of those days where you just want to take a plane and take off. Imagining myself to land on the street beside the co-op store. Hehe! I wish that was doable. But then again, there is reality.. What can you do??

I'm going to cheat today.. I didn't take any photos, so I am going to post a picture I've taken before. Two photos actually.. Photos of my two schools, hehe.. You can see the difference in both of them..

Anyway.. I'll stop.. It's Sunday!!

Ulluk Sitamat (Day 4)

Homesick, kinda.. That's what you get when you decide to go to school that is 2000 miles far from your family. But, I know that I will be okay and that's what's important.

I woke up today and found myself at Lucy's. I woke up from a phone call. Vanessa was the person who vibrated my phone, LoL. Only to look at the time and it was 2PM. I don't know how and why Lucy and her mom let me sleep until 2!! Haha. If I were to sleep at my mom's, they would wake me up when they are about to eat. I kind of miss that.

So, I was going to go to my place and take a shower and go back to Lucy's for supper. I was walking to the bus stop and watched my bus pass. I MISSED IT!! I checked the time when the next bus would come at and it wasn't until the next half-hour the next bus would come. I waited 15 minutes at the bus stop but gave up because I would be late if I tried going all the way to St-Annes and back to St-Laurent in two hours. So I went back to Lucy's. They are kind enough to have me clean myself up there. :)

I had a good supper there. Sushi was good, I missed it. The desert was awesome too. Strawberries and Oh Henry icecream. Lydia makes great food!! Her big breakfast is like to die for!! :)

After a while, I decided that I would go back to my place. I was going to wait longer to stay, but Heidi was going to the metro anyways so I went with her. My picture for today actually is of her because she is the only one that I took a picture of. She lives with Lucy and Lydia. So, I think that we can call her Lucy's sister. She is funny and says random stuff all the time. I call her "Good Heidi" and "Heidi Card" haha, if you know what I mean.

Okay, I should end this, I have nothing else to add plus my mind is.. GONE.

"Big City Life" - Mattafix

Ulluk Pingasut (Day 3)

Unbelievably hot day!!

As I woke up in the morning, I look out it's bright. My friend was over for the night and we decided to go have Subways since we got cash cards from KSB. So we had Subways for brunch. And after, we decided that we went for a walk beside the water. It was cool there. I had my short sweats and a t-shirt with my hoody over because my hair was burning!! LoL.

I love going for walks along the water in St-Annes. That's when it's sunny out. It's really awesome there and nice picture to take. I saw some boats passing by and I was really jealous. I love going on boat rides up north. The views great there!!

So I took a few pictures when I was on my walk. There are so many to choose from. I had trouble, but I finally decided. This picture I took was of stairs along the side of the water. As I was walking up those stairs, I just loved the lighting and the shadows on them. Yeah, that's how random my photographic mind is.. :^D

Sorry that I missed a day and I just made it up for you :P. I was out with some of my awesome friends.. I went to the movies with Lucy and watched "Remember Me". That movie is by far, my favorite movie. It's unbelievable, I cried, twice.

Ulluk Marruk (Day 2)

Ai! Hi! Hello! Bonjour! Bonsoir!(It's night time right now) Hola! Konnichi Wa! (And so on in all your languages.)

My long weekend has started! I have a 5-day weekend. It would have been a 4-day weekend, but my teacher cancelled my only class on Tuesday. I wish I could go home on this long weekend, but I don't have the dough to go. I miss my family. Oh well, I will try to be occupied this weekend. Unlike last weekend where I was lazy.. You have no idea.. I felt bad, LoL.

Week 10 has ended and we have like 5 more weeks of school. Which is pretty awesome, but at the same time, I am wondering where the time has gone to! But still, it's going to be one hell of a month. It's going to be a tough month in terms of school work. I was given an assignment today for Digital Media and I was already going crazy thinking about it. I have to make a web page and I don't know what I am going to do!! But, I know that I will figure it out. :)

I've been starting to think: "Okay, what picture am I going to take today??" since I started this blog. I think of it all the time now. Even when I am doing something and the question pops into my mind like out of no where. For example, I was doing my french quiz, I was trying to write something in french and I got carried away. I went: "Je ne vais... *what picture am I taking today* *and think about it for a while*" and back to my french work.. haha. Talk about distraction! :P

Ok, My picture for today is a picture of a slush!! Lucy was kind enough to buy me one. They put a slush stand again at the corner store. Which means that summer is near!! :S Today was a bit hot for me. And hot weather in the sound doesn't sound too appealing to me. It means sweaty times and a time where you find insects and flies everywhere! I have already started seeing bugs and flies in my apartment and I have been freaking out. I've found lady bugs who I held prisoner for awhile. I found two flies which I got one out, but the other one didn't want to go out. I found one little bug which I smashed with a book, haha. So yeah, I don't like insects. They creep me out!

Okay, back to slush topic. I am actually going to post two photos. One original photo that I took of my topic. And one photoshopped photo because I love making photo montages. Photoshop is one great software!! :D

Slush, slush, slush.. Couche-tard makes one of the best ones in history of ummmmm something! :P
